ELM Jewelry (Emily L. Mather) has grown slowly and organically over the years. Always wanting to create, Emily explored various outlets and then “discovered” metal and gems. Both allow the opportunity to work with color and texture, providing endless possibilities. Emily’s interest in nature and biology helps inspire each piece, and finished work typically represents something that feels familiar to most.
Similar to the way she approaches most things in life, Emily sought guidance on key aspects of  metal smithing and then took off on her own to experience what continues to be an art of trial and error. A native of Atlanta, Emily has travelled to many curious and wonderful places, but she is just as happy spending time designing jewelry alongside her shop dog Henry (when he can stand the noise).
