Mere Gehres has been into clay since she was a teenager and fell in love with the stuff.  She’s also in love with painting and drawing, and transferring that inspiration onto clay.

Mere recently switched from figurative themes to mostly drawing animals.  That happened slowly, but really, she realized she likes her pets and animals more than people.  Mere works from home, with her pets running around everywhere and it heavily influences her work.  When she’s not creating, she teaches at different studios in the area.
