Fall kids classes kick off the week of September 21st!
8 weeks, 4:15-5:45 pm
After school classes begin the end of September and we’re excited to have our kids back in the studio! We have some great classes planned this fall ranging from mixed media and photography to drawing and sewing. We pride ourselves in coming up with some quality projects where kids can earn their bragging rights showing off their creations!
Create Mixed Media will be led by Jen Singh on Mondays. She’ll show ages 11-14 techniques like printmaking, creating stencils and incorporating your own drawings into lively compositions. Students will learn new techniques while working on developing their own style.
Tuesdays, Brook Hewitt will show ages 9-12 Photography Tricks and Hacks with DSLR cameras. The greatest part of this class is all cameras and equipment is provided! Kids will explore motion, lighting and other fun tips.
Show up on Wednesdays with your sewing machine and favorite fabric and learn Sewing Basics with Rachel Herzog. Ages 8-11 learn how to thread, wind the bobbin, and assorted other tidbits about their sewing machine. Beginning projects include making a tote bag, a zippered pouch and small, stuffed critters.
Join Steve Sweny, working professional illustrator, for Drawing & Cartooning. Kids ages 8-12 will illustrate characters, create a comic strip and be given other conceptual assignments. Students will mostly focus on line drawing, but pen and ink and watercolors will be explored.
Get your craft on with Paige Lievano’s Fashion Trends Sewing, Tweens and teens ages 10-14 will design and create handmade unique accessories and wearables to show off! There will also be some no-sew projects including cutting t-shirt designs and embellishing fabric with bleach pens.
