Discover the spontaneous and ethereal magic behind watercolor painting! In this 3-hour workshop, Jen will share painting techniques and inspiration on how to “plan” an abstract composition. Learn how to blend colors, create texture, mark making and work with color theory. With a combination of step-by-step processes and creative prompts, you’ll come away with the tools needed to create your own abstract watercolor paintings!
Materials supplied with additional fee: $20
Watercolor pan set
1 round watercolor brush
1 filbert watercolor brush
Strathmore 300 series, cold press, 140 lb watercolor pad
Variety of stencils, ink, mark making tools and metallic paints
About Jen Singh
Jen’s experience in the creative fields since 1992 included art direction, exhibit design, illustration, graphic design, volunteering with local arts organizations, teaching and coordinating art events. With a love of supporting local, emerging artists and sharing her mixed media techniques in the art center, she’s found her happy place.
Class Cancellation Policy
Sometimes our classes won’t fill their minimum and we will need to cancel. Most likely it could be the day before, and we will contact you as soon as possible. A full refund will be applied if the studio has to cancel a class.
What happens if I need to cancel?
Class fees are non-refundable. There is a 48 hour cancellation policy. If you cancel within the 48 hours before the class, you will forfeit your fee. If you alert us 48 hours or more before your scheduled class, we will be glad to give credit for a future class. This credit must be used within 60 days of the cancellation date to prevent loss of the registration fee.
