Instructor: Dani Ferraro

THIS IS AN IN PERSON CLASS.
MAXIMUM 8 STUDENTS
You will be required to email us a copy of your vaccination card upon registration and also wear a mask during class.

We’ll cover everything you need to know about this fluid art medium to get you started creating beautiful abstract alcohol ink paintings and ornaments! In this special Holiday Class, we’ll explore different techniques and tools used to create texture and color blending. This beginner class is a great introduction to alcohol inks and everything you can do with them.

In this Holiday Class, projects will include creating your own ornaments and 5×7 artwork! Each person will create 2 alcohol ink ornaments to keep and a 5×7 piece of artwork! Students will have time to try their hand at this unpredictable art medium, ask questions, and explore. We’ll talk through how to apply your new knowledge and skills to other projects – and where to find the materials you need.

We will cover supplies, set up, safety, and how to seal your artwork and ornaments. Everyone will go home with a manual on how to create and safely seal artwork, 2 ornaments, and a piece of art!

MATERIALS FEE DUE BEFORE CLASS
$20 (Students may reimburse Dani with exact cash or Venmo on class day)

What You Get:
Two 3” ceramic ornaments, Yupo paper, a 5×7 piece of artwork, gloves, and use of all necessary tools and inks.

About Dani

Dani Ferraro is a self-taught artist who has always been drawn to making a mess, abstract art, and painting. After moving to Atlanta in 2016, she found a large and supportive community that helped her get in touch with her creative side.  Dani fell in love with alcohol inks for their movement, fluidity, and bright colors – and was instantly hooked!

A graduate of University of Miami, Dani enjoys reading, hiking, and trying new art mediums. A marine scientist by training, she spends her days working with volunteers at Georgia Aquarium! If you need an ocean fun fact or pun – she’s your girl. Her favorite inks to work with are different shades of blue that resemble the ocean she loves. She welcomes you to sign up for a class so you can learn to express yourself similarly in a way that speaks to you!
