- Arm Knitting for Everyone
January 17, 2018
7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Instructor: Rachel Herzog
It’s cold outside and a perfect time for arm knitting! We have a cozy project for you to brighten up the winter doldrums. Arm knitting is still all the craze and we’ll show you how to use your arms instead of knitting needles to create big, beautiful, loopy stitches, which are just perfect for a super-sized, chunky infinity scarf. You only need to learn two stitches – the “casting stitch” and the “knitting stitch” and your scarf will be finished in one class!
We promise a relaxed atmosphere, great music and the opportunity to meet new friends. No skills are necessary and all materials are included in the cost. Bring your own favorite beverage and snacks and we’ll provide the rest!
Chunky yarn in various colors and patterns

Rachel has a background in environmental science, but her creative side was always calling her. Maybe that’s why she took two ceramics courses as electives in college.
With a love for all things old and vintage, she hunts thrift stores to find discarded cashmere and wool sweaters to create one-of-a-kind creations such as neck wraps, fingerless gloves and zippered pouches. She ran her company, Tickleworm for many years until she found GDS where now she gets to use her left brain to manage all the finances while reveling in her love of DIY crafting and sewing.
