Instructor: SahFyhr
Quilling is a fascinating art form resurrected and modernized from the times of the Renaissance. Quilling involves rolling and curling narrow strips of colored paper around a long, slotted needle-like quilling tool, forming the rolls into most exquisite decorative shapes and designs. Rolls of paper are then shaped and glued into place to form three-dimensional designs like flowers, leaves, animals or decorative, ornamental patterns. Apply your quilling skills to greeting cards, scrapbooking, wall art or whatever your heart desires!

Students will be introduced to the basics of quilling and learn the following:

• the tools required for quilling
• creating basic shapes
• building designs
• techniques for rolling papers

Materials Fee: $20
Please pay instructor on day of class either by cash or check written out to Nadiyah Clarke or by PayPal via

Materials Included:
Students will leave with a basic quilling kit: quilling needle, glue, quilling paper and stencils to create their own designs at home.

About SahFyhr

SahFyhr is a henna and visual artist originally from the beautiful twin Caribbean islands of Trinidad and Tobago. Born and raised in such an eclectic island, shaped her creative aesthetic. Her love for art did not occur until her college career began. Originally, she was invested in becoming an architect, but the mundane nature of the work soon lost its appeal. She took one watercolor class and fell in love with art. Working with color brought her creativity to life. Quilling has been the perfect medium for her to seamlessly marry her love for the meticulous and technical with the creative freedom of artistic expression.

Quilling is a fun and simple art form resurrected and modernized from the times of the Renaissance. Come, let’s play with paper!
