Have fun with holiday cards this year and print your own! Linoleum block printmaking is as easy as making a single design, and printing it on several cards. You can keep the colors the same, or switch it up to individualize each one. Card packs of 6 are 3×5″ and come with envelopes. Additional packages of 10 will be available for purchase at the studio.
“Lino-cut” is a printmaking technique, in which a sheet of linoleum is used for the relief surface. A design is cut into the surface with a V-shaped tool with the raised (un-carved) areas representing a reversal of the parts to show printed. The linoleum sheet is inked with a brayer (roller), and then impressed onto paper or fabric. The actual printing can be done by hand or with a press, we will be printing by hand on paper. The design of the block is entirely up to you, but we will also have design templates to use.
All materials included.
