Steve will lead students to improve their drawing skills by intorducing projects to spark their creativity and imagination. Kids will illustrate characters, create a comic strip and be given other conceptual assignments. Focus is primarily on line and drawing but use of ink and watercolors will also be explored.

Basic Watercolor kit (cakes)

About the Artist:
Steve Sweny has a BA in Media Arts from the School of Visual Arts in NYC and also attended Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. He has worked as an illustrator for numerous national magazines, advertising agencies, and publishers. Clients include: The New York Times, Forbes, Business Week, National Lampoon, Chicago Tribune, Scholastic, Fortune, GQ, NY Daily News, Psychology Today, McGraw Hill, Discover, and many more. Locally, he has worked with AJC, Atlanta Magazine, and has illustrated 18 covers for Creative Loafing. He is represented by Donna Rosen Artists, and has taught Illustration at The Portfolio Center and Atlanta College of Art.
What happens if I need to cancel?
Class fees are non-refundable. If you need to cancel a class series, it must be done before January 7th. After January 7th, no refunds. You may only exchange for another class session. (based on availability). If the studio needs to cancel the session for any reason, you will receive a full refund.
