Monica Collantes is from Ecuador, and her brand is called Ananaw, which means “how pretty” in the Quechua language. Her pieces are made from stones, seeds, wood, and fibers that she bought or found during her travels in South America. Her designs convey a combination of how she sees nature and the inspiration of the ancestor’s symbols. Surrounded by local people, especially indigenous from Ecuador and neighboring countries, Monica was inspired to combine these elements to create her beautiful designs.
