Macramé, or the art of knotting cord in decorative and intricate patterns, is a fun and beautiful craft with endless possibilities. Great for all skill levels! 

In this 3 hour workshop, you’ll receive personalized guidance and the opportunity to experiment with soft cotton cords in various colors, thicknesses and textures. This is a literal hands-on workshop so you’ll learn and practice several basic macrame knots as you create! The instructor will provide assistance and support every step of the way! By the end of class, you will take home your own unique fringe wall hanging, an essential piece of art for boho-style homes or hippies at heart! All materials will be provided. 

As always, pacing will vary for each individual. Materials and guidance will be provided to finish your project from home if needed. 

Materials Fee: $12
The materials fee directly supports the artist/instructor and is separate from the workshop fee. Submit yours ahead of time via Venmo @macrayay_art or cash day-of.

As MacraYAY Art, Julie creates unique macramé pieces in modern patterns and color palettes that bring texture and warmth to the home. Each piece is skillfully hand-knotted in Decatur from recycled cotton cord and is an absolute original. Julie is a self-taught crafter, maker, and a little-bit-of-everything-er. Catch the latest creations at various Atlanta artist markets and festivals. When "knot" knotting, she enjoys talking about: her shih tzus Benny and Rocky, Taylor Swift and cool animal facts. Yay!
