Watercolor Goldfinch | Mini Workshop 7/16

Spend a relaxing summer evening painting a cheerful goldfinch in watercolor during this easygoing mini-class designed for all experience levels, including complete beginners. Working on a small watercolor study, students will learn simple watercolor techniques while creating a sweet and expressive bird painting in a welcoming, low-pressure environment.

The goldfinch has long symbolized joy, resilience, positivity, and the beauty of embracing lightness in life. This class is designed as a creative meditation, a chance to slow down, unwind, and enjoy the gentle rhythm of painting while connecting with the symbolism and spirit of this vibrant little bird. 

Complimentary wine will be included, making this the perfect Thursday evening outing to share with a friend. Whether you come solo or bring someone along, you’ll leave with a finished watercolor study, new creative skills, and a little more color in your week.

No experience required. All materials provided. If you have your own watercolors, paper and brushes you would feel more comfortable using, feel free to bring along!

Painting takes me to magical places, usually conjuring a story. I love to paint the wild nature around me and get lost in the process. My paintings have abstract beginnings, sometimes with a loose charcoal drawing or translucent layers of acrylic or watercolor. I embrace playfulness and joy in my practice with the intention of creating a sense of wonder for my viewers.
